The University of Kerala provides hostels to residential students (both - boys and girls). There are six hostels functioning under University of Kerala at Kariavattom campus and at Thycaud, Thiruvananthapuram. Two Mens (PG & Research) and Three Womens (Two PG & One Research) Hostels at Kariavattom Campus and one Womens hostel at Vazhuthacaud. The hostel provides admission to UG/PG/M.Phil/Research students.
In Kariavattom hostels admission shall be restricted to students from University departments and in Thycaud Womens hostel admission shall be given to students of Government colleges from degree level to research levels.
Apart from the above, International Youth Hostel a three storeyed building in the heart of the city, caters to the temporary residential needs of students and faculty alike.
Regular maintenance work is carried out in the campus annually for proper upkeep of the hostels. A well established International Youth Hostel is functioning in the heart of Trivandrum city to accommodate students during their visit to the University.
